Since 1968, Centralina Regional Council has served the greater Charlotte area by providing services to individuals, supporting local governments and leading regional collaboration. We strive to make a difference in seven fundamental areas. The executive board oversees the budget and presents local governments from nine counties coming together and shape area-wide planning.
The Cabarrus County Education Foundation is a nonprofit resource and advocate for students and educators of Cabarrus County Schools (CCS). Our two program areas are:
Focus #1 Support student achievement by funding innovative teacher/classroom support.
Focus #2 Inspire our educators
I also chair the marketing committee.
The Harrisburg Area YMCA serves more than 50,000 members and 200,000 individuals a year- regardless of age, income or background- to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation’s health and well-being, and provide opportunities to give back and support neighbors. A part of the Harrisburg community since 1854, the Harrisburg Area YMCA serves the community through Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
We are currently raising funds for a new YMCA to be located in the Harrisburg Park. I also chair the development committee.
I am working with an initiative lead group of community leaders, raising funds to tuff the fields and rubberize the track for Hickory Ridge Middle School and Hickory Ridge High School. It has turning into an exciting project as the scope continues to grow to include building.
